I was given a project in college to create a pair of streetwear trousers innspired by workwear. I made them out of a quality 100% cotton denim purchased in London. I added a over skirt, inspired by the current skirt-over-pants trend and the flap pockets found on work trousers. Each pleat is another sectioned pocket. I added pleated cargo pockets on the knees of the trousers, giving a nod to the pockets usually used for kneepads. the detail of the long running strips down the front into the buckles of the pockets add contrast and functionality.
